The Unknown Brewing Co. appears to be committed to celebrating their half anniversaries in lieu of the traditional annual celebration recognized by virtually everyone else. Just like their 1.5ish birthday beer, 2.5ish is a beverage that will test and confuse your senses. According to the label, this ale is a blend of two separate beers aged in bourbon barrels with a plethora of fruit additions.
This ale has an impressive number of distinguishable fruit notes that dance between tangy sourness and candy sweetness. The body is incredibly light given the 9% ABV with a rapid flow of large carbonation bubbles. These elements make the ale feel more like a sparkling white wine. Pair with seafood, any pasta with cream sauce, and/or a birthday.
