Tripel Digits by Gizmo Brew Works is a perplexing Belgian ale that defies the law of gravity (specific gravity). While not quite as complex as your typical Belgian, Tripel Digits has an entertaining array of aromas and flavors that camouflage a sneaky ABV sucker punch.
Fresh flowers and herbal tones dominate the sweet aroma with an underlying funk that I can’t quite put my finger on. The flavor ties in an unexpected level of peppery spice and citrus while delivering a steady stream of sugary sweetness. This may be the only Beligan Tripel that I would describe as “refreshing.” Keep this on deck for a spring picnic or late-night summer grilling. For those of you that are too cool for picnics: You are WRONG!
