At first glance, there’s hardly anything on the Kitten Snuggles bottle that would suggest there’s beer inside. However, upon further investigation, you’ll find a lengthy story on the side that describes a cat rental facility in Portland that pimps out kittens for snuggling. The Unknown has channeled this absurdity into an imperial farmhouse ale brewed with milk sugar, fuzzy apricots, and cat nip flowers…
This ale has a sweet & citrusy flavor with an odd aftertaste of pepper and bitter greens, perhaps from the cat nip? This is accompanied by an explosive level of carbonation that will nearly blast this fizzy, feline potion out of your nostrils. While hops are in no danger of being replaced by catnip flowers anytime soon, this ale is one of those unique experiences that you will definitely want to try if you have the opportunity. With oddities such as this, I suggest not pairing with food. Simply bask in the gaze of a thousand kittens as you embrace your inner crazy cat lady.
If anyone from Unknown is reading this: I know the 9% ABV was intentionally targeted to pay homage to the number of lives every cat is born with. See you on Caturday!
